The Slovak Gynecological and Obstetrical Society (SGPS) is a professional organisation bringing together gynecologists, obstetricians, and other healthcare specialists across Slovakia. Its mission is to advance the quality and safety of gynecological and obstetric care, support education and research, and foster professional collaboration in the field.
SGPS provides a dynamic platform for sharing expertise, encouraging innovation, and strengthening professional networks among Slovak specialists. Education is a key focus: the Society regularly organises conferences, training courses, seminars, and workshops aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of physicians and healthcare professionals. SGPS also actively promotes clinical research, ensuring that findings are disseminated and applied in practice. Through collaboration with European and international societies, the Society contributes to implementing modern standards and best practices in Slovakia. In addition, SGPS engages in public outreach to raise awareness of women’s health, prevention, and early diagnosis.
