The Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology Section of SGPS brings together Slovak specialists dedicated to the care of girls and young women. Its mission is to develop this field nationally through education, professional activities, and support for a multidisciplinary approach. The Section organises specialised training, workshops, and lectures for gynecologists, pediatricians, and other professionals, focusing on the unique needs of young patients. It fosters collaboration across disciplines, including pediatrics, psychology, and other specialties, to ensure comprehensive care. Section members actively participate in European forums, including EURAPAG, integrating Slovak expertise into the international context. The Section also supports research projects and contributes to improving clinical practice, while raising awareness of paediatric and adolescent gynaecological care among professionals and the wider public.
